- DATE: The sub-machine guns used by Michelle and the Resistance girls
in various episodes are Stirlings, which were not produced until
1953.

- PLOT: In season 2, when Sloane is searching for the mysterious
blackmailer who has forged his wife's signature from the hotel, he
tells Jack Bristow that "Emily believed the lie that SD6 in a secret
branch of the CIA", therefore telling Jack Bristow SD6 is actually
something different, something bad. As an agent of SD6, Bristow
however is not supposed to know this. Sydney isn't supposed to know,
and Dixon and all the others aren't supposed to know either.
- GEOG: When in Vienna, in season 2, there are some yellow, four-sided
traffic-lights that are shown. These don't exist in Europe.
Furthermore, the cars driven by the terrorists and the victim have a
European flag on the license plate, alongside a Swiss flag. That
kind of license plate cannot exist.
- GEOG: In many of the episodes when Sydney visits other "countries",
one can identify that filming took place in the US because of
American telephones, traffic lights, types of signage, types of
cars, architecture, door frames and door knobs in the background.
Those are subtle for the most part but people living in the
countries depicted feel that "something isn't quite right".

# "Cadfael" (1994)
- CONT: In "One Corpse Too Many", there is an aerial shot that shows
the corpses of the garrison hanged by King Stephen, followed by
Brother Cadfael's counting them by tens: "seventy... eighty...
ninety... five?" In the aerial shot, there are only eighty-five
corpses.
# "Cambridge Spies" (2003) (mini)
- SYNC: In the very first scene, in the chapel, the choirs lips do not
match what they are singing and the range of voices (basses, tenors,
trebles etc.) could not be achieved with just the young boys singing
there.
1026a1067,1074
- CONT: Towards the beginning of the final episode of the miniseries,
Louis Verner and Sidney Enderman are walking through the streets of
the town of Centennial. When they first start their journey, it is a
nice sunny day. A few seconds later as they walk past Zendt's old
store and behind the hotel to meet Cisco Calendar, it is suddenly a
drab, overcast day and there is a bit of a dusting of snow and ice
on the ground.

- DATE: At one point, Starr tells Bullock: "Your fly is down". In
1876, trousers had buttons, not zippers. Bullock's fly would have
been "open" or "closed", not "up" or "down".

# "Due South" (1997)
- CREW: In "Burning Down the House", Fraser runs to the smoking
Vecchio house and you can see the cameraman's reflection in the side
mirror of Ray's Rivera.
- CREW: In "Strange Bedfellows" as Ray is giving Stella and Orsini a
ride home after being shot at, Diefenbaker is in the back seat
riding with them. Diefenbaker's trainer is reflected in the glass
giving Dief commands.
- FAKE: Fraser throws the knife at the dart board in "Seeing is
Believing." Yet when they switch back to him, he's still got it in
his hand and quickly hides it behind his back.

tends to the right hand.

- FACT: In "Our Mrs. Reynolds", Jayne says that his gun (which we know
as "Vera" from earlier in the episode) needs oxygen around it to
fire. The gun is shown with standard projectile rounds which produce
all the oxygen they need.
- CONT: In "Trash", the port side shuttle is visible in Serenity's
port (left) docking bay, when both shuttles have left the ship.
2292a2362,2368
- FACT: In numerous episodes, Harm flies an F-14 from the rear
cockpit. In fact, the rear seat is designed for the RIO (Radar
Intercept Officer) who maintains the radar and weapons systems.
Thus, an F-14 cannot be flown from the rear cockpit. Should the
pilot be incapacitated for any reason, the only course of action for
the RIO is to eject.

# "Leave It to Beaver" (1957)
- CREW: In the episode where Beaver and Gilbert work as golf caddies,
the shadow of the camera and a crew person can be seen on Gilbert as
he leaves the scene.

- FACT: In the episode "The Ick Factor" (season 6), Samantha picks up
Carrie at her apartment in a cab for Miranda and Steve's wedding.
Carrie is "a hundred blocks" out of Samantha's way, but the meter on
the cab only reads $3.80.

- CONT: In the episode "Elementary my dear Data", Moriarty hands Data
a piece of paper upon which is a sketch of the Enterprise. Data
immediately storms off the holodeck, and shows the paper to La
Forge. As the paper was holographic, it should have vanished the
moment it was removed from the holodeck.

# 37°2 le matin (1986)
- FAKE: When Eddy's mother is lying dead on the bed, she is clearly
breathing.
6103a6217,6221
- FACT: Felix enters the pub that is full of Manchester United fans
all wearing football shirts. This sort of gathering would take place
on the day of the match, not the day before as portrayed in the
film.
6286a6405,6418
- CONT: At the beginning there are two whisper craft: yellow with red
stripes, and grey with red stripes. The yellow one is destroyed.
However at the end, both the yellow and grey one are sitting on the
pad (clearly a shot from the beginning of the movie). Also, they
paint the Argentina-bound craft grey with red stripes. That would
mean two craft that are grey with red stripes. However when the boat
is leaving with the Argentina craft the real Gibson flies alongside
in a grey craft with blue stripes.
- FACT: Cystic fibrosis (CF) was said to be a "childhood disease" and
its victims were only supposed to live for 5 years. When in fact,
it's not really considered a childhood disease anymore, and the
average CF patient lives to be 32.

- CONT: When they find the Montana, it looks like it's tilted (banked)
to one side by about 50 degrees or so. A few shots later, it looks
more like 70 or 80 degrees, and in the interior shots it looks more
like 20 or 30 degrees.

- CONT: Wednesday and Pugsly attempt to drop an anvil suspended by a
rope on Pubert at the base of the staircase before Debbie removes
Pubert from harm. A following shot of the staircase with Gomez and

- CONT: Before the final game, Josh is sitting on the bench in the

Josh's lap, then around his neck, then on his lap in alternating
shots of the same scene.

patch, the "4" on the card appears normal, but it should be reversed
since the card is face down.
12393a12522,12526
- CONT: When Austin and Vanessa have a glass of champagne in Vanessa's
hotel suite, Vanessa is flirting with Austin while holding a
champagne glass and drinking from it. One second later, when they

# Avaleuses, Les (1973)
- FAKE: In the opening shot, Lina Romay literally walks into the
camera, bumping her face on the lens.
13254,13258d13391
13323a13457,13461
- CREW: After Marty runs out of his old house in the alternate 1985
and walks past the crime scene in his old neighborhood, the shadow
of the cameraman passing by can be seen on Marty's t-shirt and then
the sawhorse in front of him.
13758a13897,13920
- CONT: The SUV that Syd is driving is severely damaged in front when
it hits a car broadside at the intersection, then is significantly
damaged in the rear when the other dozen or so cars pile up behind
it. We then see a "fresh" SUV trying to plow its way out of the
intersection with no damage at all except the driver side door
missing.
- CONT: When Marcus and Mike are dressed as exterminators at the
mansion, and get shot at, Mike's hat disappears and reappears
between shots while they are speeding away in the van
- CONT: When Mike turns up at Marcus's house he's driving a 575. At
the start of the freeway chase when the guy who fell down from the
car park, the Ferrari in shot when he lands is still a 575, but on
the freeway chase this changes into a 550 Maranello.
- FACT: Liquid ether cannot be stored in a regular steel 55-gallon
drum at room temperature, and even if it could a barrel would weigh
around 400 pounds - Mike would not have been able to pick them up
and throw them from the truck. Even if all of the above were
possible, ether is not explosive or flammable in a liquid state - it
would burn quickly but almost invisibly on a sunny day as it
evaporated.
14409a14572,14578
- FAKE: A short scene where Barry is cutting firewood with an axe. The
pile of wood, including the one he is cutting, all have cleanly
sawed ends. If he had a saw, he would be using it, as an axe is a
poor tool for wood cutting. Chopping and splitting, yes, but not
cutting. It looks oddly out of place in an obviously
well-constructed movie, where every scene was clearly obsessed over.
14697a14867,14872
- CONT: When Penguin gasses the UWO Security Guards, he walks between
them with the gas still visible in the hallway as if there is
nothing there. Yet in the very next shot as he lets his cohorts
through the elevator doors, he instructs them to "hold their breath"
as they cross the hallway to avoid inhaling the gas.
14793a14969,14974
- CONT: Batman has two cowls, one with a "webbed" look around his
chestplate and one with where his cape folds straight back, which
change periodically between shots. This is most noticeable during
his fight scene with the goons after rescuing Vicki from the museum
and during the fight scenes in the Axis Chemical plant.
15623a15805,15808
- GEOG: The parking area for Hoover Dam is on the Nevada (west) side
of the dam. So the tour bus would not have driven across the dam
before the passengers went on the tour of the dam.
16005a16191,16193
- DATE: The aircraft used in the film (an F/A-18E Super Hornet) was
not in use in the 1990s when the film is set.
16295a16484,16487
- CONT: When Ben-Hur's and Messala's chariots lock wheels Messala's
wheel shatters but in the shot of the overturning chariot, the wheel
is intact.
16663a16856,16858
- SYNC: When Lane plays his sax to Monique at dinner, his fingers
don't match the music being played.
16668a16864,16870
# Between Strangers (2002)
- FACT: When Natalia gets her "contact sheets" she views them on a
lightbox. The contact sheets are positive proofs printed on paper. A
lightbox, used for viewing negatives or transparencies, would be
useless with a print.

- CREW: When Ed is dying in the hospital, his son watches him in
anguish and there is only one light reflected in each of Will's and
Ed's eyes. When Ed's eyes become fixed, the light in his eyes
brightens, and a second light can be seen reflecting in the corner
of his eyes. When the camera pans back to Will, two spots of light
are now reflected in his eyes showing the addition of a second light
off camera.

# Biohazard Outbreak (2004) (VG)
- CONT: During the opening cinematic, while Hunk's team is being
decimated by Birkin, a commando is shown cowering backwards in fear
while firing his MP5. On top of the weapon there is a form of red
dot sight, possibly an aimpoint. When Birkin impales the hapless
commando and the gun goes flying, the scene cuts away to a shot of
the gun hitting the ground in slow motion while still firing. In
this shot, the scope/red dot sight is no longer present.

hats throughout the episode. Midshipmen were not full officers,
though they were expected to be treated as officers by the ratings.
In the second episode of the series ("Examination for Lieutenant")
Hornblower and the other midshipmen are suddenly wearing round,
brimmed hats. Towards the end of "Examination for Lieutenant" it
transpires that Hornblower doesn't actually have a bicorn hat
because he has to borrow one from Lt. Bracegirdle.

six seats across and a single aisle (3+3), but all interior shots
show a "wide-body" type plane with two aisles and seven seats across
(2+3+2). (One viewer commented that the interior shots are of a
DC-10.)
- CONT: After they almost crash into the mountains they turn south,
according to the lady flying the plane and the ground controller,
but the next shot shows the rising sun and clearly shows their path,
over the clouds, heading straight into the sun, which would be east.
Then, in the very next shot, two passengers on the right-side of the

window. For them to see the rising sun the plane would have to be

- CONT: When the ninjas attack the samurai village, Algren is being
pinned down by a ninja who is trying to force his head onto a blade.
In the next shot, Algren throws off the ninja, but in the subsequent
close-up, the ninja is back on his back and he throws him off again.
- PLOT: Algren finds the Hakama, Dogi, and Obi in his room, and then
walks out of the room fully dressed. Wearing the Hakama and Dogi
requires the tying of no fewer than four very complicated and
precise knots. Yet, when we see Ahlgren emerge from the room, he
looks perfect - there is no way he would know how to put on Japanese
clothing.
- SYNC: When Algren and Katsumoto are shown in slow motion, during the
horseback charge, Algren draws his sword and we hear the sound of
the sword ringing as it is drawn. The Saya (scabbard) of the Katana
is typically made of wood, and though they sometimes had fittings
made of metal around the Koiguchi (mouth of the scabbard) these were
usually ornate, and there clearly are none on the sword that Algren
has.
- DATE: Electrical wiring is shown in the city. Commercial development
of electricity (which would have produced city-wide wiring) did not
happen until the 1880s.
- FAKE: During the ninja attack in the house when Nathan and Katsumoto

- FACT: When Walsh opens the money belt at the end of the film, he
fans out a bunch of crisp, new looking $1,000.00 bills. Mardukas
tells him there's about $300,000.00 in the belt. (ie 300 $1,000.00
bills) $1,000.00 bills have not been printed since World War II.
When they were printed they were mainly used for bank transfers. On
14 July 1969, the US Treasury stopped distributing them (along with
$500.00, $5,000.00 and $10,000.00 bills). Since that time, any bills
in those denominations that come into a Federal Reserve Bank are
removed from circulation and destroyed, so it is unlikely that
Mardukas could have gotten 300 of them in 1988, especially in such
good condition.

supposedly because an Egyptian pharaoh named Sheshonq brought it
there from the destroyed Temple in Jerusalem. Although Sheshonq did

More importantly, it was not Sheshonq, but the Babylonian king
Nebuchadnezzar who occupied Jerusalem around the time of the

# Troy (2004)
- CONT: When going into formation on the Trojan Beach, Achilles has a
flaming arrow stuck to his shield. In the shot from Achilles' point
of view, the arrow is nowhere to be seen. It is then directly in the
line of Achilles' sight again as Achilles and his army move out of
formation to attack.
- FAKE: When Achilles introduces his cousin, Patroclus, to Odysseus,
King of Ithaca - his wooden training sword is in the foreground. The
tip and edges are worn, revealing that the sword is in fact plastic
and simply painted to look wooden.
- CONT: When Paris approaches Menelaus outside the walls of Troy, he
puts on his helmet. The helmet he wears has nose-protection, yet in
a shot from Paris' point of view, only the side views are
obstructed, with the nose-protection nowhere in sight.
- SYNC: Throughout the film when Hector, Paris, Achilles and Menelaus
all draw their swords, we hear the metal scraping as they are pulled
from their shields - Yet we can see that the interior of the shields
are cloth lined and the loops that hold the swords are leather, not
metal.
- FAKE: Just before Achilles says "You gave me peace in a lifetime of
war", thaw camera is focused on Briseis's hair where the netting
from her wig/extensions is clearly visible.
- DATE: There are modern clasps on the necklaces.
- GEOG: The sun is shown rising in the north-west (over the sea).
- CONT: The Greeks prepare to brand Briseis in the dark of night, yet
the next shot shows the sun setting over the Aegean Sea.
- CONT: When the Troy army is attacking the beach at night with the

When the grass balls roll through the fire, the arrows are suddenly
gone.
- FAIR: To kill Hector, Achilles uses a spear. When Achilles is
dragging Hector back to camp, we can still see the spear sticking
out of him. In the next shot, when Achilles is within the camp, the
spear in Hector is gone. Hector is dragged for many miles, it is
very likely that the spear either snapped off or fell off by the
time he reached the camp.
- CONT: When Paris first shoots Achilles, half of the arrow goes clear
through his heel. Later, when Achilles is dying, the entire arrow is
only protruding out of one side of his heel.
- DATE: At the beginning of the movie a couple of llamas can be seen
on the streets of Troy. This is impossible since these animals are
original from South America, discovered 4000 years later.
- DATE: In one shot, Helen and Paris are both sitting underneath a
pretty umbrella. Umbrellas did not reach Greece until thousands of
years later.
- FACT: When the boy goes to find Achilles for him to go fight the
enormous warrior from Thessaly he tells him that "the Thessalonian
is huge". He should have said "Thessalian". A "Thessalonian" would
be someone from Thessaloniki, a city that was not founded until many
centuries later (4th century BC) by Alexander the Great in honor of
his sister by the same name.
- CONT: When Achilles leaves to challenge Hector, his chariot is
pulled by two black horses. When he ties Hector's body to the
chariot, at least one of the horses is brown. When he arrives back
at the Greek's camp, both horses are black.
- CONT: In the tent, Achilles is standing watching the lady sleeping
on her back. In the next shot, we see the legs of woman sleeping on
her stomach.
- FAIR: It is our policy to exclude differences between film's and
their source material as goofs, nevertheless, you might be
interested to note the following divergence's from Homer's account
of the war:
- The movie suggests that Troy was sacked about a month after the
Greeks landed; Homer's "Illiad" has the siege lasting over ten
years.
- Menelaus was not slain by Hector; he outlived him and was one of
the soldiers in the Trojan Horse. He was eventually reunited with
Helen and they apparently lived a happy life until his death in
Sparta many years later.
- Agamemnon was not killed by Briseis at Troy; he survived and
returned home only to be killed by his wife Clytaemnestra and her
lover Aegisthus.
- Patroclus was not Achilles cousin he was just a close friend.
- CONT: When Paris goes forward to talk to Hector on the ship to Troy,
his cloak is wide open at the top. During the rest of the scene, the
top closes up without him touching it.
- FAKE: The sand has obviously been raked over from previous takes
when Achilles returns from his fight with Hector.

- CONT: Near the end of the film Alabama says, "And sometimes Clarence
